Quality Clouds 22.2.1.0 Release Notes

Release date: 27th April, 2022

New general features and changes

  • Quality Gates expanded rules

The Quality Gates Add-on was originally based in accepting the Active (above the baseline) and New issues (from the activation date) according to their Severity. Now is possible to have more granular acceptation criteria by using the Advanced options sections and divided by Impact Area. In example, you may be super restrictive with fixing existing Active issues (and new) from Security and Performance, but more flexible for Scalability and Manageability (which are future proof issues, with medium to long term impact).

  • Executive view enrichment

The executive view provides the latest full scan analytics insights, now provides the global view of ALL issues: above and below the Baseline. The toggle allows to pivot analytics between active (above the baseline) issues, which are controlled by the Quality Gates Add-on, and active + below the baseline. The active list contains all new issues detected by the selected Full Scan, plus those moved from the below the baseline.

All issues view (default toggle activated):

Only active issues view (above the baseline):

Main KPIs issues and technical debt are displayed in red when the Quality Gate Failed (top red banner) for the selected Full Scan date.

  • Salesforce Impact Analysis

The Salesforce inventory can be navigated and filtered using the Impact Analysis, now this view allows to search for dependencies of objects and custom objects across the inventory. This allows a number of scenarios:

    • Evaluate future changes on objects, what if I need to remove a custom field, show me where is used/referenced,
    • Test cases and test plans: when a new custom field on existing object is introduced, what elements are required to test in order to validate existing functionality is still working,
    • Decommission of functionality: objects that are not used or referenced by major declarative types (User Interaction layer) and candidate to be removed. Business logic dependencies is currently under development.

  • ServiceNow Livecheck view enrichments

The Livecheck view allows to deep dive into developers activity of checking project quality during their coding. There are a couple of new features added in this release:

    • New Quality Gate filter to show ALL results (not just passed or failed).
    • Under the UpdateSet Livecheck tab, ability to filter by update-set name.

  • Visual Studio Code new release

The new version allows developers to request write-off directly from the VSCode, and also detects the Quality Gates status of all pending to commit changes (locally) by providing a new Quality panel view.

  • General bug fixes and small improvements
    • Inline comments not properly detected when mixed with regular code,
    • Update-set name not correctly populated under the history panel through the Admin Portal
    • Inactive schedule jobs rule not working properly
    • Dot-walk sysId rule false positive reported
    • Export of scan data performance issues fixed
