Error when applying the Live Check update set

Issue 

In ServiceNow, when applying the Live Check update set, you may get an error with the following messages:

Found a local update which is newer than this one

OR

Remote Update name starts with sys_ui_related_

Impact

The changes cannot be merged. 

The Live Check update set adds the related list <configuration element type> to CECheck for each one of the configuration element types which are in scope for the update set. This is the related list which shows issues detected by the Live Check.

If the related list for the element types has been modified in your instance after the change was registered in the Live Check update set, the above errors will appear when applying the update set.

Solution

Skip all these changes in the update set, and add the related list manually to the form definition for each configuration element which is in scope for the Live Check.
